Weekly meeting of the new Chatham Anime Club, a beginner-friendly student club for anime, manga and Japanese culture fans.
The Chatham Anime Club is getting its first meeting on the books, and it's happening at the Carriage House in the 24 Hour Lounge. The club is new, and this first session kicks off on Thursday, October 22, from 6 PM to 8 PM. It's not a one-off, either—the club is planning to meet every Thursday through December 10, so if you can't make the first one, there are plenty more to choose from.
The whole idea is to bring students together around a shared interest in anime, manga, and Japanese culture. Since it's a new club, the first meeting is where the officers introduce themselves and start taking feedback from the members to shape what the club becomes. They've also made a point of being beginner-friendly, so you don't need to be deep into the scene to show up—it's open to anyone new to anime.
