Holiday tradition with a breakfast buffet and a photo opportunity with Santa at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, with free museum admission.
Breakfast with Santa returns to the Carnegie Music Hall Foyer on Saturday, December 19, from 9 AM to noon. It's the Carnegie Museums' newest tradition, and it's held in the private, historic foyer rather than out in the public galleries, which keeps it separate from the usual museum crowds.
The morning is built around two things: a breakfast buffet you help yourself to and a photo opportunity with Santa. It's a slow-paced way to spend a Saturday morning with the kids, and since it runs for three hours, there's no rush to get through the line. The ticket also gets you 15% off at the Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History stores that day, plus free admission to the museums, so you can easily make a full day of it and wander through the galleries after breakfast.
It sits alongside the Carnegie Trees, which the Women's Committee of the Carnegie Museum of Art organizes every year, so if you're already heading over to see the trees, this fits right in. The foyer itself is part of the Carnegie Music Hall, and because it's a private space, it's a bit of a departure from the main museum floors you're used to.
