Bad Movie Bingo screening of the cult horror film 'FleshEater' (1988), where the audience marks off bad-movie tropes on a bingo card.
Bad Movie Bingo returns to Bottlerocket Social Hall on Monday, October 26, with the 1988 cult horror Flesheater as the feature. The night is presented by Bottlerocket and hosted by Neo Trash Video, and it's open to all ages.
If you've never been, the setup is more of a game than a standard screening. The night is billed as "a deranged game show for cinephiles" and "the worst movies we can come up with," and the format turns the movie into a participatory thing: everyone gets a bingo card filled with bad-movie tropes, and you mark them off as they pop up on screen. The winners take home prizes, so you're paying as much attention to the clichés as you are to the plot.
Flesheater fits the bill. It's a 1988 horror title about college students who run into man-eating zombies on an overnight hayride—the kind of premise that practically writes its own bingo card. Between the hayride setting and the zombie-eating-people, there should be plenty of tropes to keep you marking your card throughout the night.
