Poster showcase in which undergraduate and graduate awardees of the NRIEP Scholarship Program share their study abroad and experiential learning experiences.
The 2026 NRIEP Scholarship Awardees Poster Showcase is happening at Alumni Hall on Thursday, October 22, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. It's a poster session where University of Pittsburgh students present the global learning experiences they've had abroad, and it's open to anyone who wants to stop by and see what they've been up to.
To get some context on the program behind it, the NRIEP Scholarship Program is nearly sixty years old. It supports study abroad, internships, independent research, and experiential learning for Pitt students around the world. The program is run by the Nationality Rooms and Intercultural Exchange Programs, which also maintains the Nationality and Heritage Rooms in the Cathedral of Learning and offers scholarships, tours, and programs for global learning. This showcase brings together undergraduate and graduate awardees to share their experiences abroad, so you'll see a mix of students from different levels talking about where they went and what they did.
It's a poster showcase, which means the students will have their work on display and be there to talk through it with you. If you've ever wondered what a Pitt scholarship actually looks like in practice—whether it's a semester in another country, a research project, or an internship—this is where you'll see the actual results. You can walk from one poster to the next and hear directly from the people who were there.
