2026 Fall Artist Fellows Open House Studios

ALMA | LEWIS is opening its studios on Saturday, October 24, to introduce its inaugural Artist Fellows, Layo Bright and Sharbreon Plummer, Ph.D. It's an open house, so you'll be walking through the spaces where they've been working rather than looking at a finished gallery show. The two artists will be there in person, and the afternoon is built around meeting them and seeing their work in the studios where it's actually happening.

It's not just a walk-through, either. The open house includes hands-on activities and artist talks, so you can hear them talk through what they're making and get a bit more involved than you would at a typical exhibition. If you've been following the local scene, this is a good chance to get a first look at the inaugural class of the fellowship and see how they're using the space.

Layo Bright and Sharbreon Plummer, Ph.D., are the two fellows on display. The open house runs from 2 PM to 5 PM at ALMA | LEWIS Contemporary Arts in Pittsburgh. Entry is free, but you'll need to RSVP first. If you're planning to stop by, it's worth getting that sorted ahead of time.
