Annual lecture on health care quality and safety, the premier event of the Department of Health Policy and Management, sponsored by the family of Anne C. Sonis.
The 2026 Anne C. Sonis Memorial Lecture takes place on Wednesday, October 21, at the University Club in Pittsburgh. It's the premier annual event for the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Health Policy and Management, and it's been running for more than 20 years now. The lecture focuses on health care quality and safety, and it's sponsored by the family of Anne C. Sonis and the Pitt Public Health Department.
If you're not familiar with the venue, the University Club is at 123 University Place. The building was originally built in 1923 as a private social club, and the University of Pittsburgh bought it in 2005. It reopened in 2009 as the University Club after an extensive renovation, and these days it serves faculty and staff with fine dining, a fitness center, a library and reading room, and a lounge. It also has banquet and conference facilities and housing for families of hospital patients. This particular lecture will be held in Ballroom B.
