London sibling duo Wasia Project play the Crescent Ballroom on their Nocturne Live 2027 tour.
Wasia Project play the Crescent Ballroom on Saturday, March 6, 2027, as part of their Nocturne Live 2027 tour. The duo is made up of siblings Will Gao and Olivia Hardy, who formed in London in 2019. They draw on their Chinese-British heritage and their classical training — Olivia on violin, Will on piano — to blend classical and contemporary pop. Will also sings as a member of the Trinity Boys Choir.
Their debut EP, how can i pretend, came out in 2022 and was produced by Luke Pinnell of London's Suedejazz Collective. It broke out when the ballad "ur so pretty" landed in the second series of the Netflix drama Heartstopper, in which Will stars as Tao Xu. Their second EP, Isotope, was recorded at London's RAK Studios and paired the music with an audio-visual short film directed by Charles Gall. Their debut album, Nocturne, is twelve tracks exploring youth and identity, released through AWAL Recordings and produced by St. Francis Hotel, who has worked with Adele, Little Simz and Arcade Fire.
British Vogue called them "a fast-rising youth pop phenomenon," and The Guardian praised their "modern jazz and indie with a wisdom beyond their years."
