Trunk or Treat with Arizona's Children Association

Arizona's Children Association is hosting its first-ever Trunk or Treat at Scottsdale 101 on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 8 PM. It's a classic Halloween setup: decorated trunks, candy, and costumes, all in one spot. The event is open to the public, and it usually draws more than 500 families, so it's a good one to have on your radar if you're looking for a low-stress way to get the kids out in costume.

For those who aren't familiar, Arizona's Children Association (AzCA) is a nonprofit that's been working with Arizona families for 114 years. This is their first time putting on a Trunk or Treat, so it's a new addition to their calendar. The whole thing is open to the public, and with more than 500 families typically turning out, it's a big gathering rather than a small neighborhood affair.

You'll find it at Scottsdale 101, 7000 E. Mayo Blvd. in Phoenix. The timing is 5 to 8 PM on Saturday, Oct. 17, which puts it right in that early evening window when the sun is going down and the costumes actually start to feel appropriate. It's a straightforward afternoon for families: decorated trunks, candy, and costumes, all in one place.
