World music show by Traveler, led by Scott Jeffers, headlining the Desert Botanical Garden's outdoor Music in the Garden concert series.
Traveler plays the Desert Botanical Garden on Friday, October 30, as part of the Music in the Garden concert series. The show runs from 7 PM to 9 PM, with folk Americana act The Howard Brothers opening.
Traveler is led by Phoenix-based musician Scott Jeffers, and the project is a direct reflection of his background: Lebanese heritage and an American upbringing. He blends Gypsy, Middle Eastern, Celtic, Greek, and Turkish styles with rock, playing traditional instruments like the Greek bouzouki and the Arabic oud alongside a full band. He's also known for his violin and vocal work. Most of his songs are written while he's immersed in the people, sounds, and landscapes of the countries he visits, and the band has headlined festivals across Canada, Turkey, Alaska, Montana, Texas, Utah, and Colorado.
Coming just before Halloween, the night leans into the season. The show is billed as a way to get into the holiday spirit, with a monstrous list of songs and festive flair. Music in the Garden is the Desert Botanical Garden's concert series, and the venue is one of the Valley's most iconic outdoor spots, with live performances playing out against the desert landscape under the open sky.
