A folk concert by Swedish singer-songwriter The Tallest Man on Earth at the Musical Instrument Museum, part of the 2026 Fall Concert Series.
The Tallest Man on Earth plays the Musical Instrument Museum on Sunday, November 15, at 7 PM. The show is part of the museum's 2026 Fall Concert Series, which runs through December.
The Tallest Man on Earth is the stage name of Swedish singer-songwriter Kristian Matsson. He's known for a raw, grainy voice and a guitar, and for nearly two decades he's taken that spare, spellbinding approach around the world, crafting intricate, literary songs with an urgent, unguarded delivery. After years in New York City, he returned to his native Sweden, and near the end of 2021 inspiration returned, leading to the 2023 record Henry St., which critics called among the warmest and most open-hearted of his career. Reviewers have called him "one of the best and most compelling folk singers of the 21st century" (Paste) and praised his "elegant, homespun ballads" (GQ).

It's a solo act—just Matsson, his voice, and his guitar—so the set is built around the songs themselves rather than a full band. Henry St. sits at the more open end of his work, and the show is one of several the Musical Instrument Museum is booking for its fall series, which continues through December.
