Half-day wellness activation on women's metabolic, adrenal and hormonal health with an expert panel, vendor village and group meditation.
The Flamingo Effect - Return To Self is a half-day wellness activation hosted by FlexEtc in Phoenix on Saturday, October 24. Organized by Será Collective and hosted by Jenna Wyer and Zoe Felbein, the afternoon focuses on women's metabolic, adrenal, and hormonal health.
The title comes from a specific biological quirk of flamingos: they lose their vibrant pink color while raising their chicks and only regain it once the chicks are grown. The organizers use that as a mirror for how many women give and give until they lose touch with their own vitality, and they frame the day as a return to that color. It's an over-18s event that runs for four hours, with the whole thing devoted to the metabolic, adrenal, and hormonal side of women's health.
There's a full program to work through. The day opens with check-in and a vendor village featuring local women's health and wellness businesses. From there, it moves into a moderated expert panel—made up of founders and doctors—with a Q&A following. The afternoon closes with a group meditation on mats. There's also a founder story studio on-site, where women can record their own story on camera and take the footage home with them.
