Live show by Irish singer-songwriter Tadhg Nolan, who blends honest storytelling and catchy melodies on guitar.
Tadhg Nolan plays Valley Bar on Monday, November 2, at 7 PM. He's an Irish singer-songwriter from Leixlip, and this is a solo show—just him and his songs. The set sits right where his writing does: honest storytelling and catchy melodies, the kind of thing that works as well in a quiet room as it does on a record.
There's a bit of a story to how he got here. He grew up in Leixlip with his three brothers, raised by his mother while his father worked abroad. He found music early, starting on piano at 12 before picking up the guitar at 15 and writing his own songs. For years he busked and played pubs across Ireland, building a live following before he ever put anything out on record. That time on the street and in the pubs is where he developed the stage presence he brings to these shows—he's used to playing for people who've just walked in off the street.
He built a growing online audience before releasing his debut single, my baby loves me for free - demo, through Capitol Records. These days he's based in London, and he's still releasing new music and taking his songs to live audiences around the world. The set will draw from that songwriting—the storytelling and the melodies he's been refining since those early days in Ireland.
