All-ages, three-stage music festival with a sci-fi theme, curated by Playboy Manbaby, with Dan Deacon and The Toxhards.
Space Cadet Fest returns to Walter Studios on Saturday, November 7, with three stages and an all-ages crowd. It's presented by The Trunk Space and Onshuffle HQ, and they're billing this as their biggest year yet: 20 artists across the three stages, with a dedicated vinyl night to close things out. The whole thing is curated by Playboy Manbaby, who'll be playing a hometown celebration of their new album, VIOLENCE.
Sharing the bill are Baltimore electronic composer and musician Dan Deacon and the theatrical indie prog rock powerhouses The Toxhards. They're joined by Damag3 and Lightnin' Luke, and the late-night vinyl spins come from Late Nite Boogie. With three stages running, you'll have plenty to move between throughout the day.
There's a bit more to it than just the music, too. The organizers describe Space Cadet Fest as an intergalactic, DIY art and creativity celebration in Phoenix, and they're highly encouraging space and sci-fi themed outfits. If you've got something in the back of your closet that fits the bill, this is the kind of night to actually wear it.
