Scaryvale at Maryvale

Scaryvale at Maryvale takes over Maryvale Park & Community Center on Saturday, October 17, from 6 PM to 9 PM. It's a night of Halloween activities for all ages, and it's free to attend.

The evening puts a few different things in one spot. There's live music and a haunted house, a costume contest, and a community trunk-or-treat where you can walk from car to car for candy. There's also food for sale, so you can grab a meal without leaving the park. If you're coming with kids, the trunk-or-treat and the costume contest are the main draws; if you're on your own, the haunted house and the music are the things to hit.

Scaryvale is part of a larger series of free, family-friendly fall celebrations the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is running across the city's parks this season. They've been transforming parks for the occasion with community trunk-or-treats, inflatables, and spooky attractions, and this is the Maryvale stop on that circuit.

It's at Maryvale Park & Community Center, 4420 N. 51st Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85031, on Saturday, October 17, from 6 PM to 9 PM.
