Phoenix Rising FC vs Lexington SC

Phoenix Rising FC takes on Lexington SC at Phoenix Rising Stadium at Wild Horse Pass on Saturday, October 24. It's a fan appreciation match, so the whole thing is built around the supporters rather than a league table. The match kicks off at 7 PM.

If you're not already familiar, Phoenix Rising is the city's professional soccer franchise. They split their home games between two spots: Phoenix Rising Stadium in Wild Horse Pass and Casino Arizona Field in Scottsdale. This one is at the Wild Horse Pass stadium, so you'll be out toward the south valley for the night.

One of the things that really defines the club is the Banditos, the supporters section that brings the noise to every home game. They're known for chanting "Vamos Phoenix Rising! Esta Noche Tenemos Que Ganar!" throughout the match, and that energy is a big part of what it's like to be in the stands. People who've been to the stadium have noted that it's smaller than many of the major soccer venues, but that it makes up for it with the atmosphere and affordable beer.

Since this is a fan appreciation match, it's a good time to go if you've been following the team and want to catch a game without the pressure of a league race. It's a friendly between two professional sides, so the focus is more on the soccer and the crowd than the standings. The match is on Saturday, October 24, at 7 PM at Phoenix Rising Stadium at Wild Horse Pass.
