Concert by Katie Pruitt, with special guest Judy Blank, from her 'Fools for the Fleeting' album, at Valley Bar in Phoenix (21+).
Katie Pruitt plays Valley Bar on Monday, October 26, as part of her Fools For the Fleeting Tour. She's a Georgia-bred singer, songwriter, and guitarist now based in Nashville, working at the intersection of Americana and indie rock. The show is 21+.
She'll be joined by special guest Judy Blank. Pruitt's full debut, Expectations (2020), earned her an Emerging Artist of the Year nomination from the Americana Music Association, and her discography includes Mantras (2024). The tour is built around her new album, Fools for the Fleeting, which she describes as a reckoning with the impermanence of being human. The songs shift between poetic observation and confessional storytelling, and she writes about ecological anxiety, the fragility of love, and the isolation of an increasingly digitized existence.
