New York five-piece JUICE plays The Rebel Lounge with special guests Christopher Blair and Lovetrain.
JUICE play The Rebel Lounge on Wednesday, October 21, presented by Psyko Steve Presents. They're a New York City five-piece, and they're sharing the bill with special guests Christopher Blair and Lovetrain.
If you haven't come across them before, JUICE is a hard band to pin to one sound. They pull from pop, rock, hip-hop, R&B, '90s alternative, modern electronic, and folk, and they do it all on stage. All five members are multi-instrumentalists, which is a good way to explain how they move through that much ground in one set. Ben Stevens handles vocals and keys; Christian Rose takes vocals and violin; Kamau Burton is on vocals and guitar; Daniel Moss plays guitar; and Rami El-Abidin is on bass. That's three singers in the mix, so the vocal side of things gets as much attention as the instruments.
The band formed while the five of them were students at Boston College, and they've spent the last decade as professional touring and recording artists. They've played countless national tours, opening for acts like flipturn, Ocean Alley, and The Dip. The Rebel Lounge is a Phoenix live music venue that took over the home of the former Mason Jar and is run by Stephen Chilton of Psyko Steve Presents.
