Concert by the legendary singer-songwriter and composer Jimmy Webb at the MIM Music Theater, with stories behind his iconic songs.
Jimmy Webb plays the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix on Thursday, November 12, and Friday, November 13, 2026. Both shows start at 7:30 PM.
If you've heard of him, it's probably through songs you didn't realize he wrote. Webb is a singer, songwriter, and composer who's a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and he's the only artist to have received Grammy Awards for music, lyrics, and orchestration. His hits include "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," "Wichita Lineman," "Galveston," "MacArthur Park," and "Up, Up and Away." In 2016, Rolling Stone listed him as one of the top 50 songwriters of all time.
On stage, he does more than just play the songs. He shares the stories behind them and talks about his time at the center of the 1960s and '70s music scene. Critics have compared him to George Gershwin and Cole Porter, and that comes through in the way he approaches a songβas much a piece of writing as a performance. He does the same thing in his memoir, where he traces the same ground.

The venue is the MIM Music Theater, inside the Musical Instrument Museum at 4725 E Mayo Blvd. Grammy winner Shawn Colvin once called it the best 300-seat venue in the country. Every performance there is tied to the museum's exhibits, which showcase the instruments, the people who play them, and the musical language they share. Tickets run from $49.50 to $64.50.
