Stand-up comedy night featuring Jeremiah Watkins, known for his work on HBO and Nickelodeon, at the Phoenix comedy venue.
Jeremiah Watkins is headlining Stand Up Live on Thursday, October 15, with the show presented by The Arizona Comedy Network. If you're not familiar with him, he's a working comic who's spent a good deal of time in the rooms where comedy gets made. Judd Apatow once described him as the comedian who made him fall in love with comedy again, and that's a high bar to set before you even step on stage.
Watkins has a resume that stretches across a few different worlds. He's appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jeff Ross Roast Battle, and HBO, and his credits run from Carpool Karaoke and Lights Out with David Spade to Netflix's Historical Roasts, HBO's Crashing, and Nickelodeon's The Casagrandes. He also voices the Joker on DC Superhero Girls and co-hosts the Trailer Tales podcast. On the writing side, his series Stand-Up On The Spot continues to draw viral attention alongside the sketches he writes and directs.
If you want to get a sense of his stand-up before the show, he has two hours out there. His debut one-hour special, Jeremiah Watkins: Family Reunion, streams on Amazon Prime, and his second hour, DADDY, is on YouTube. Between those and the voice work, he's a comic who's as comfortable in a recording booth as he is in front of a live crowd.
