Live show by Utah rock and punk band Homestyle Dinner Rolls at Last Exit Live, presented by Lucky Man Concerts and for ages 21+.
Homestyle Dinner Rolls play Last Exit Live on Wednesday, October 21, at 7:30 PM. The show is presented by Lucky Man Concerts, and it's for ages 21 and up.
The band comes from Orem, in rural Utah, and first appeared on the state's indie and rock scene in 2018. They've spent the years since then building a catalog that pulls from 1970s rock, metal, and punk. Their debut single, "Standing By," came out in 2020, and by the summer of 2022 they'd released four more. That run led to the EP Life Is Better, which arrived in the autumn of 2022.
It's a hard band to pin to one sound. Provo Music Magazine described their work as sometimes punk, sometimes post-grunge, and other times emo, running from power ballads to ragtime, all held together by face-melting guitar solos and a high-octane stage presence. That range is a good way to get a sense of what they bring to a live setβthe heavy stuff and the melodic stuff sitting side by side.
