A beloved Phoenix tradition featuring live music, Native artist demonstrations, family art activities and museum exhibitions over four days.
Holidays at the Heard returns to the Heard Museum on Saturday, December 26, 2026, as part of a four-day run that's become a Phoenix tradition. It's the kind of event that brings together family, friends, and out-of-town guests under one roof, and this year it's no different.
The programming is built around a few different things happening at once. There are live musical performances throughout the day, Native artist demonstrations where you can watch artists work, and hands-on family art activities for kids and adults to get involved with. Much of that—the music and the weather—is taken in from the Piper Courtyard, and you can step inside to explore the museum's exhibitions whenever you're ready for a change of pace. It's a mix of watching, doing, and wandering, and since it's spread over four days, you can drop in when it works for you.
The event is made possible with support from the Tohono O'odham Nation. That connection sits right at the center of what's on offer: the music, the demonstrations, and the art activities all come from Native artists and performers.
