Pre-Halloween Lock & Key singles mixer for people aged 30 and up, where women get locks and men get keys to find a match at Châm Pang Lanes.
Lock & Key is hosting a Halloween singles mixer at Châm Pang Lanes on Wednesday, October 28, from 7 PM to 9 PM. The whole night is built around a simple icebreaker: every woman gets a lock and every man gets a key. You spend the evening mingling to find a match, and every time a lock opens, you earn a prize ticket for a drawing. It's a straightforward way to start conversations without having to think of a line.
This isn't a new thing. Lock & Key describes itself as the original trademarked Lock & Key® Singles Party, one of Arizona's most popular singles events, and it's been running since 2001. The organizers say the format has been featured on Bravo, BBC, CNN, CBS, Axios, NPR Marketplace, The Wall Street Journal, TLC's 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life, New Times, Chicago Tribune, Fox, VH1, and NBC. People who have gone before point to the locks and keys as an effective way to break the ice.
The night is aimed at singles aged 30 and up. Costumes are optional but highly encouraged, and there's a vote for Best Costume, so if you've got a Halloween look you've been waiting to wear, this is a good excuse to bring it out. If you're not into dressing up, you can still come as you are.
