Alternative metal and screamo concert featuring Eyes Set To Kill with special guests Sicksense, Twist It, Cuntrol and Sorry X, presented by Psyko Steve.
Eyes Set To Kill are playing the Crescent Ballroom on Saturday, December 19, with Sicksense, Twist It, Cuntrol, and Sorry X opening for them. It's a Phoenix homecoming for a band that started right here in the city.
They're a screamo and post-hardcore outfit that began as a two-piece fronted by sisters Alexia Rodriguez, on lead guitar and vocals, and Anissa Rodriguez, on bass. From the start, they set out to avoid the typical screamo formula of pairing a screamer with a melodic female vocalist. After being turned down by a string of local musicians, they rounded out their lineup in early 2006 with Greg Kerwin on guitar, Brandon Anderson on vocals, and Caleb Clifton on drums. Over the years, they've shared stages with Chiodos, Blessthefall, Goodbye Tomorrow, My American Heart, and Greeley Estates, and they played a stint on the Warped Tour. The band has always leaned on a do-it-yourself work ethic, booking their first tour through MySpace.
