Dia de los Muertos celebration at the 21+ open-air venue The Pemberton with all-day happy hour, tequila and mezcal sampling, face painting, ofrendas and specialty cocktails.
The Pemberton is hosting a Dia de los Muertos celebration on Sunday, November 1, from 2 PM to 11 PM. It's a long afternoon and evening, so you can drop in for a drink and leave early or settle in for the whole run.
The day is built around a few things that run the entire time. There's an all-day happy hour, and they'll have tequila and mezcal sampling going, so you can work your way through a few different pours without having to commit to a full bottle. They're also serving up specialty cocktails for the occasion. On the more traditional side, there will be ofrendas set up throughout the space, and face painting if you want to get into the spirit of the day.
If you haven't spent much time there, The Pemberton is a 21+ open-air social hub in Downtown Phoenix. It's centered around its onsite pool bar, Ibiza, and usually programs live music, DJ sets, and pool parties. Beyond the party side of things, it hosts Detroit-style pizza nights, craft workshops, themed watch parties, and community gatherings that celebrate local culture. It's also home to Sarah Pemberton's Séance Dinner, a haunting evening with a spirit medium, dinner, and cocktails.
