Concert by the acclaimed jazz trumpeter Chris Botti, blending pop, jazz and classical music, as part of the Musical Instrument Museum's 2026 Fall Concert Series.
Chris Botti plays the Musical Instrument Museum on Saturday, November 21, at 6 PM. He's the sole bill for the night, and the performance is part of the museum's 2026 Fall Concert Series, sponsored by Sanderson Lincoln.
If you're not familiar with him, Botti is a trumpeter from Corvallis, Oregon, and he's the highest-selling American instrumental artist, with more than four million albums sold. He's spent a good part of his career crossing over from jazz to pop audiences, a shift that really took hold with his 2004 release When I Fall In Love. Since then, he's put out four #1 jazz albums and picked up several Gold, Platinum, and Grammy Awards, including the 2013 Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album for Impressions.
He's also known for the company he keeps. Over the years, he's performed alongside a who's-who of music: Sting, Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga, Yo-Yo Ma, Michael BublƩ, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, John Mayer, Andrea Bocelli, Joshua Bell, Steven Tyler, and Frank Sinatra. That's a wide range of styles and eras, and it gives you a sense of how he fits into different musical worlds. He's played some of the biggest stages in the business, too, from Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood Bowl and the Sydney Opera House.
