Seven-hour day party from Aura Collective with afrobeats, amapiano, hip hop and dancehall, over-21s only.
Aura Unmatched: NYC -> PHX lands at The Pemberton on Saturday, October 24, bringing a seven-hour day party to downtown Phoenix. It's presented by Aura Collective, who describe the afternoon as bringing the energy of New York City nightlife to the desert, built around the sounds of the diaspora: afrobeats, amapiano, hip hop, and dancehall.
That's a wide spread for one afternoon, and the lineup reflects it. Four DJs are on the bill—DJ HOL UP, DJ BUKA, DJ DND, and MICHI—each taking a turn across the seven hours. The music moves between the West African rhythms of afrobeats, the deep house and jazz-inflected grooves of South African amapiano, the bass-heavy swing of dancehall, and the hip hop that ties it all together. It's a long stretch, so you can roll in early and stay late, or just drop in for a few hours in the middle.
The setup is intentionally stripped back. There are no VIP sections or roped-off areas; the dance floor is front and center, and that's where the focus stays. It's a day party in the truest sense—starting in the afternoon and running well into the evening, so you're dancing in the daylight before the night takes over.
