Free, family-friendly day of live performances, a Kids Zone, artisan vendor booths and a beer and wine garden at the Herberger Theater Center.
The Herberger Theater Center is hosting its 17th Annual Festival of the Arts on Saturday, November 14, from 11 AM to 6 PM. It's a free, family-friendly day in downtown Phoenix, spread across the outdoor Pavilion Stage and the Monroe Stage. The festival is the Herberger's annual celebration of the artistic traditions, creative voices, and forms of expression that shape the city, drawing on talent from across the Valley to bring together neighbors, families, and art lovers in a barrier-free space that also supports downtown businesses.
The day is split between two stages. The Pavilion Stage handles the dance and theater: classical ballet, global dance traditions, and theatrical storytelling. Performing there are the Phoenix World Arts Collective, Arizona Repertory Ballet, Third Space Dance, Kriti Dance Bollywood Academy, Fushicho Daiko Dojo, Order Chaos Theatre Company, and the Hungarian Cultural Association of Phoenix alongside the Arizona School for the Arts. The Monroe Stage is for the music, with sets from Mariachi Hermana Del Corazon, vocalist Brooke Leigh Davis, the Diann Shumate Quartet, and the cover band SOULITIFY.
Beyond the stages, there's a dedicated Kids Zone with circus arts, aerial experiences, and hands-on arts activities. Around 30 artisan and vendor market booths line the area, and a food court and beer and wine garden—complete with a Paint & Sip experience—round out the afternoon. Community Engagement Director Cescily Wiener describes the festival as more than just a day of creativity: a way to build a stronger, more connected Phoenix by giving local artists, vendors, and youth groups a vital platform.
