Whip It - A New Wave & Post Punk Happy Hour Dance Party

Whip It returns to The Trestle Inn on Friday, October 30, for another edition of the monthly new wave and post punk happy hour dance party. The Slinky Vagabond is on the decks, and the night is built around the music: new wave and post punk records and videos running throughout, with special cocktails to match. It's a dance party, so the floor is the point.

The Trestle Inn sits under the Reading Viaduct at 11th and Callowhill Streets, and it leans hard into a 1960s-and-70s-inspired music, entertainment, and drinks experience. Every Thursday through Saturday, Go Go dancers perform to soul, funk, and disco, and the bar is known for reintroducing the Classic Whiskey Sour to the city. The full menu runs 18 craft cocktails, more than 70 whiskies, and craft beers on tap.

Doors open at 5 PM and the room runs until 2 AM, with Happy Hour daily from 5 PM to 8 PM. Whip It kicks off at 6 PM, right in the middle of that window, so you can get a drink and settle in before the night really gets going. Entry is free.
