Live show by Australian indie rock and punk band Swapmeet, with support from BABY WAVE, at Johnny Brenda's.
Swapmeet play Johnny Brenda's on Friday, October 23, with BABY WAVE opening. It's a long way from where they started: Swapmeet are based on unceded Kaurna land in Adelaide, Australia, and they've built their following in the Adelaide circuit. Their sound is rooted in indie rock, though they describe it as being characterized by sonic experimentation and a punk spirit. On stage, they've earned a reputation for a playful, chaotic presence, which is a good way to get a sense of what they bring to a live set.
The show is presented by Johnny Brenda's, and it's for ages 21 and up. Doors open at 7 PM, so you'll have plenty of time to get settled before the music starts. Tickets are $22.90, or $20.90 in advance.
