Sing Along Broadway

Sing Along Broadway comes to the Perelman Theater on Friday, October 30, at 7 PM. It's presented by Ensemble Arts Philly as part of their Jazz Series, in association with Live Nation. The whole thing is built around one idea: the room becomes a giant karaoke box. Instead of sitting back and watching a show, the crowd sings along to the big showstoppers, so if you've spent years singing Wicked or Rent in your shower, this is your chance to do it with a room full of people.

Those showstoppers are the core of the night. You'll be singing along to 'Defying Gravity', 'Seasons of Love', 'One Day More', and 'You Can't Stop the Beat'—the kind of songs that most theater fans know by heart. Between the big numbers, the evening is filled out with medleys, solos, Broadway-themed games, comedy, and constant audience participation. It's not just a concert; it's a party where you're part of the performance.

Ensemble Arts Philly bills it as a high-octane, all-out Broadway-themed party and a love letter to the stage, pitched at audiences of all ages and every kind of theater fan. And since it's a party, there's a dress code you're encouraged to lean into: guests are welcome to turn up dressed as their favorite Broadway characters. Whether you go full costume or just a nod to a character you love, it fits the spirit of the night.

The Perelman Theater is inside The Kimmel Center at 300 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102. The show starts at 7 PM on Friday, October 30.
