Austin post-hardcore band Porcelain plays the PhilaMOCA with support from My Wife's An Angel.
Porcelain play PhilaMOCA on Saturday, December 5, as part of the Minor Victories Tour. They're an Austin post-hardcore band fronted by Steve Pike, with guitarist and vocalist Ryan Fitzgibbon, bassist Jordan Emmert and drummer Eli Deitz. The four came together in 2022 after years of playing in the local scene in bands like Exhalants, Super Thief, Votive and US Weekly.
Their self-titled debut album came out in 2024, and they've already followed it with a second LP, Today's Minor Victories, which they recorded with Scott Evans at Estuary Recording in Austin. Pike's lyrics draw on personal loss and his experience of life in the US, with songs like "Shotgun" and "DSD" rooted in his own observations of work and current events. The tour takes the title of that second record, and the set will pull from both the debut and the new material.
