Gaming day of Innovation Weekend with demos, panels, competitions and hands-on experiences for developers, creators, industry professionals and players.
PHL Gaming returns to CYTOPHL on Saturday, October 24, from 10 AM to 4 PM. It's the fourth year for the gaming day, which comes as part of Innovation Weekend, the annual gathering for the people building Philadelphia's tech ecosystem. This year, Innovation Weekend is in its fifth year and run by Coded by, the organization led by CEO Danae Mobley.
On the day itself, the room brings together developers, creators, industry professionals and players. The program is built around demos, panels, competitions and hands-on experiences, so you'll see work being shown off alongside conversations about how it gets made. It's a mix of people who make games and people who play them, and the format lets them cross paths in the same space.
PHL Gaming is an initiative of the PHL Gaming Task Force and Councilmember Isaiah Thomas. It's one of several tracks within Innovation Weekend, which is built on the idea that the right connection can change a company's trajectory—turning conversations into customers, investors, partners and problem-solvers. This edition stretches to four days for the first time, with the Startup Summit, Capital House and PHL Gaming each designed to deliver insights and strengthen the relationships that drive progress. The gaming day is the part of that schedule dedicated to the city's game developers and the community around them.
