NFL Week 16 regular season game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Houston Texans at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Houston Texans at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday, December 24, 2026. It's a Week 16 regular season game, so it falls right in the thick of the home stretch leading toward the playoffs. The Texans are the visiting team, making the trip from Houston to Philadelphia for the matchup.
Because it's a Thursday night game, it's one of the few times in the season the NFL schedules a game on a weekday rather than a Sunday. That puts it on a different rhythm than the rest of the league's Week 16 slate, with the Eagles playing while most of the other teams are still a few days away from their own games. For a home game, it's a chance to see the Eagles in person at Lincoln Financial Field, their home stadium in South Philadelphia.
Coming in late December, this is one of the final regular season games on the calendar. By Week 16, the standings are usually clear enough that you have a good sense of who's fighting for a playoff spot and who's already locked in. The result here could have a real say in where the Eagles end up in the NFC standings before the season wraps up.

It's a prime-time kickoff, too. The game starts at 8:15 PM EST, so it's a night game that runs late into the evening. If you're planning to be there, keep in mind it's Christmas Eve, so you'll be heading to the stadium on one of the busiest nights of the year. The Eagles host the Texans at Lincoln Financial Field, with kickoff at 8:15 PM EST on Thursday, December 24.
