Americana band Fruition plays MilkBoy on the 'Something More' tour, supporting their eighth album.
Fruition play MilkBoy on Friday, November 20, as part of their tour for Something More, the eighth studio album they've put out through Bloodshot Records. The record was produced by Grammy winner Tucker Martine—who's worked with The Decemberists and My Morning Jacket—at his Flora Recording and Playback in Portland, and the band calls him a sixth member. The tour kicked off around the album's release, which came with a video for the song "Compass."
There's a bit of weight to this run. After nearly 20 years of touring, the band—Jay Cobb Anderson, Kellen Asebroek, Jeff Leonard, Mimi Naja and Tyler Thompson—announced they'll be stepping away from the road. They put it plainly: the rising costs of life on tour have outpaced static artist guarantees. Their touring van, a Mercedes Sprinter they call "Ibbe," is set to be put up for sale.

This North American run extends through January 2027, with stops at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago and 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville, before wrapping up in the Pacific Northwest at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland and the Neptune in Seattle. The Philadelphia date falls toward the middle of that stretch. If you've followed them for a while, this is one of the last chances to catch them live.
