Country-pop singer-songwriter Elizabeth Nichols plays MilkBoy on Chestnut Street in Philadelphia, with Dawson Anderson.
Elizabeth Nichols plays MilkBoy on Saturday, October 24, with Dawson Anderson opening. It's a country-pop night in Center City, and if you've spent any time on TikTok lately, you've probably already come across her. She's 22, and a few of her original songs — "I Got A New One," "Ain't Country," and "Mama" — went viral, which is how a lot of people first heard her.
Her background is a bit of a map of the country: born in Texas, raised on a Kentucky farm, and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma. That mix shows up in her writing, which leans into the kind of storytelling you'd find from Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, and John Prine. She sings and writes about life as a young person, and she describes her music as "a gift from God."
She's not new to the stage, either. She's shared bills with Wyatt Flores, Russel Dickerson, and Dylan Marlowe, so this isn't her first time out. The set will be her own songs, and Dawson Anderson opens the night.
