Free chair yoga session taught by certified teacher Lindsey Gill, suitable for all levels and ages, part of the library's Community Impact Week series.
Lindsey Gill is leading a chair yoga session at the South Philadelphia Library on Saturday, October 24, starting at 10 AM. It's part of the library's Community Impact Week, which this year is running programs under its Health and Fitness and Yoga strands.
If you've never done chair yoga, the basic idea is that a chair takes the place of the traditional mat. You do the poses while seated or using the chair for support, which makes the practice a lot more accessible if putting weight on your knees or wrists is a problem. Because of that, it's open to all levels and ages—you don't need any prior experience to join in, and it's just as much for beginners as it is for people who've practiced yoga for years. The session is aimed at adults and seniors.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Philadelphia and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
