Concert by VoxAmaDeus featuring British pianist Peter Donohoe performing works by Gershwin, Beethoven, Copland and Williams.
Peter Donohoe takes the stage at the Perelman Theater on Saturday, January 22, 2027, for a concert presented by VoxAmaDeus. The evening is built around a feast of Beethoven concertos and overtures, with the British piano virtuoso at the keyboard.
On the piano, Donohoe plays two of Gershwin's most popular works and Beethoven's Third Piano Concerto. The orchestra opens with Beethoven's Coriolan Overture, and the program adds pieces by Aaron Copland and John Williams. There's also a premiere in the mix: a new work by Luc Radu.
The concert is part of the Perelman Theater's 40th-anniversary January programme, and it falls within VoxAmaDeus's 40th consecutive concert season. It's a night that pulls from a few different eras—Beethoven's classics, Gershwin's American standards, and a brand-new piece—all held together by Donohoe on piano.
