Drop-in fiber arts club for crocheting, knitting and weaving at the Whitman Library, with all skill levels welcome.
The Adult Fiber Arts Club is back at the Whitman Library on Tuesday, October 27, at 5 PM. It's a drop-in session, so you don't need to sign up or commit to a long-term class—you just show up with whatever you're working on.
If you're not sure what that means, it's exactly what it sounds like: a dedicated time and space to sit and work on fiber projects. The club covers crocheting, knitting, and weaving, and all skill levels are welcome. If you've been working on a sweater for months and just need a little company to keep you going, or if you're still figuring out your first few stitches and want to be around people who can help, this is the kind of thing that fits. It's less about a formal lesson and more about the act of making something by hand while other people are doing the same thing around you.
It's also a recurring thing, so if the timing doesn't work for you this week, you've got options. The club met on Tuesday, September 1, and it'll be back again on Tuesday, December 15, at 5 PM. If you're just getting into it, you can drop in for one session and see how it feels, or make it a regular Tuesday night thing through the end of the year.
