Tenth anniversary of the weeklong showcase of local artists across a string of independently owned venues in Philadelphia, run by producer Greg Seltzer.
Philly Music Fest is back for its tenth anniversary, running from October 12 to 18, 2026. It's a weeklong showcase that hands the stage to local artists and spreads its program across a string of independently owned venues rather than sticking to a single site. This year's edition marks a decade since the festival started, and that milestone has pushed it beyond a single weekend.
Among the venues taking part are Johnny Brenda's at 1201 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia, Ardmore Music Hall at 23 E. Lancaster Avenue in Ardmore, Solar Myth, and Underground Arts. Because the shows are scattered across the city and its surrounding areas, you'll find yourself moving between different neighborhoods over the course of the week rather than staying in one place. The festival is run by producer Greg Seltzer, who built it as a platform for the city's music scene.
That focus on the local scene has grown into something that lasts all year. In partnership with WXPN and the Philadelphia Music Alliance, the festival's energy now feeds into the Inside Hustle series, which turns the event into monthly sessions that bring industry professionals and local musicians together. Those sessions cover recording, management, booking, streaming, and distribution, so the work continues long after the festival ends.
