Free winter celebration with music, food and creative activities at The Venue in Cowley, ahead of Oxford's Christmas Light Festival.
Winter Lights at Ark-T is on Friday 13 November, from 5pm to 8pm at The Venue, 242b Barns Road, OX4 3RQ, in Cowley. It's a free, community winter celebration with light, music, food and creative activities for all ages, and it forms part of Oxford's Christmas Light Festival, which returns this November led by Oxford City Council in partnership with the city's cultural organisations and funded by the Council.
The festival's programme mixes light installations with festive traditions: the Victorian Christmas Market on Broad Street, the Light Trail in Cutteslowe Park and the Rose Hill Light Parade, plus a Christmas Light Bus that carries illuminated cheer around the city, alongside crafts, sing-alongs, immersive performances and light shows. Ahead of the main festival, IF Oxford Science and Ideas Festival runs online workshops from 14 October to help visitors build their own LED light displays.
