Free weekly lunchtime recital held every Tuesday from 1.10 to 1.40pm at Pusey House on St Giles', Oxford.
Pusey House hosts its Tuesday Recitals every week, with the next one on Tuesday 3 November. It's a lunchtime slot, running from 1.10 to 1.40pm, and admission is free, so it's an easy one to drop into if you're around the city centre during the day.
For those who haven't come across it, Pusey House is an Anglican religious institution on St Giles', just south of Pusey Street. It's firmly rooted in the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church of England and is known as a 'House of Piety and Learning'. While it's associated with the University of Oxford, it isn't part of it, so it sits in that slightly separate space between the university and the city.
The recitals are just one part of what goes on there. The house stages a range of other events throughout the week, including weekday Evensong sung to plainsong, Mattins, and a weekly Benediction followed by a social. If you're in the area for a recital, there's usually plenty more to catch around the calendar.
