Weekly open studio session at Deepwell Arts where visitors can work on their own art projects in a light and roomy space.
Sunday Studio kicks off at Deepwell Arts at Hunsdon House on Sunday 25 October, and it's not a one-off — it runs every Sunday through to 27 December, from 10.00am to 3.00pm. The whole thing is an open studio session, which is a polite way of saying you just turn up with whatever you're working on and get some proper time into it. If you've got a project that's been sitting in a corner of your room or a sketchbook you've been meaning to get through, this is the sort of space where you can actually settle in and make a dent in it.
Deepwell Arts describes the studio as light and roomy, so it's less about squeezing in and more about having enough space to spread out. The point is that you're working on your own thing, not following a class or a set of instructions, so you bring your own materials and your own pace. If you only have a few hours to spare, you can drop in for a bit; if you're in the middle of something that needs a full day's focus, you can stay as long as you like.
Because it runs every Sunday for ten weeks, it's easy to turn into a regular habit rather than a one-off visit. You can come once and call it a day, or make it your weekly slot for the rest of the autumn. The sessions run from 10.00am to 3.00pm, so you've got a good five-hour window to work with.
