Stand-up show 'Swanky' by Sindhu Vee, her first UK tour in five years, described as her most sophisticated and intimate show yet.
Sindhu Vee brings her new show, Swanky, to the Oxford Playhouse on Thursday 12 November, starting at 7:30pm. It's her first UK tour in five years, following Alphabet back in 2021, which you can still stream on her website if you want to catch up before this one. She's an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, and if her name doesn't ring a bell, you've likely seen her on Live at the Apollo, QI, Have I Got News For You and Would I Lie To You.
Beyond the stand-up, she's a familiar face on screen. She's appeared in Netflix's Sex Education and Matilda the Musical, and in Amazon Prime's Pradeeps of Pittsburgh and Picture This. The critics have a handle on the stage act, too: the Evening Standard called it 'outspoken, frank and funny', and the Sunday Times described it as 'gleefully wicked'.

Swanky is billed as her most sophisticated, intimate and swanky show yet. It's built on the gap between her screen profile and the relatability she brings to the stage, and it draws on her own life to look at falling through the cracks you didn't make, avoiding the friendships you don't want and embracing the self-love you definitely need. It's a full evening's worth of material, running for two hours with an interval, and it's recommended for ages 14 and over. The Playhouse is on Beaumont Street, OX1 2LW, and the show starts at 7:30pm on Thursday 12 November.
