Beginner-friendly morning yoga session to open the hamstrings and shoulders at the Naomi Swain Wellspace.
Naomi Swain Wellspace is hosting a morning yoga class this Thursday 22 October, from 7:45 to 9:45 a.m. It's open to beginners, so you don't need to have stepped foot on a mat before to join in.
The session focuses on a deep stretch to open the hamstrings and the shoulders, two areas that tend to tighten up if you spend your day hunched over a desk or on your feet. It's a small group, which means you'll get a bit more individual attention than you would in a packed gym class, and there's plenty of room to move without feeling like you're on top of the person next to you.
Naomi Swain Wellspace is a massage, yoga and fitness studio here in Oxford, so this is its home turf rather than a one-off pop-up. The class runs for two hours, which gives you plenty of time to settle in and actually hold the stretches long enough for them to work, rather than rushing through a sequence. If you're coming from a morning commute or just waking up, that extra time makes a difference.
