Outdoor exhibition of work by local artists from Crisis and St Mungo's, with a commission by sculptor Siobhan Coppinger, on the theme of autumn.
Fall is the current exhibition at The Turrill Sculpture Garden, running from 5 September to 14 November 2026. It brings together work by artists from Crisis and St Mungo's, Oxford, with guest sculptor Siobhan Coppinger.
The theme is right there in the title. These local artists have spent the summer working around it, and the show is their take on autumn, falling, and fall. It's a group exhibition, so you'll see a range of different interpretations rather than one single approach. The pieces are on display for sale, and a commission from any sales goes back to Crisis and St Mungo's.
If you've never been, the garden is tucked behind Summertown Library on South Parade, OX2 7JN. It was an empty, uninviting space until 2000, when it was transformed into a garden of enfolding trees and planted areas for the public to enjoy. It's owned by Oxfordshire County Council and was designed by Katherine Shock Garden Designs, who also serves as the garden's sculpture coordinator. It's been going for over a quarter of a century now and keeps showing work by living artists.

The programme is deliberately varied: it alternates between shows that encourage children to be creative, group exhibitions of local sculptors, and solo shows by national names. Fall fits into that local group slot. The garden is freely open to the public, so you can wander through on your own time until the show closes on 14 November.
