Free exhibitions by Fusion Arts Oxford celebrating the resilience and creativity of the Windrush generation and their contribution to Oxford.
Fusion Arts Oxford are running a series of exhibitions at The Island this October, all focused on the Windrush generation. They're open across two separate blocks of dates: Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 October, and then again from Wednesday 28 to Saturday 31 October, from 11.00am to 6.00pm each day. If you can't make the first run, you've got the second one to fall back on.
The exhibitions are a testament to the resilience and creativity of the Windrush generation, and to their contribution to the Oxford community. It's a look at the people who arrived from the Caribbean in the decades following the Second World War, and the mark they've left on the city. The focus is as much on the creative side as the personal stories, so it's worth taking your time with it rather than just rushing through.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Oxford and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
