Evangelium: a series of talks on the Catholic faith

Evangelium kicks off at Holy Rood Catholic Church on Friday 23 October, the first in a series of talks on the Catholic faith. It's open to anyone who wants to know more, so you don't need to be a regular churchgoer or have any particular background to come along.

The series starts with The Meaning of Life, and that's the talk on the night. It's a broad, open-ended place to begin, and the sessions that follow will build on it, so if you're curious about the faith, this is the one to catch right at the start. The talks are designed for anyone who's ever wondered about the Catholic faith and wants a proper look at it, rather than just a few snippets here and there.

It's a series, not a one-off, so it's something you can drop into over time rather than trying to take it all in at once. If you're not sure where you stand on any of this, that's fine — it's aimed at people who are just starting to ask these kinds of questions. The first talk sets the scene, and the ones that follow will keep going from there.

It runs from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Holy Rood Catholic Church on Abingdon Road, Oxford OX1 4LD.
