Stand-up show 'No Dramas' by Irish comic Ed Byrne, a lighter follow-up to 'Tragedy Plus Time'.
Ed Byrne brings his new show, No Dramas, to the Oxford Playhouse on Saturday 17 April 2027. It's part of a full UK and Ireland tour that runs from February to July, taking in almost sixty dates with extra stops in Guernsey and the Republic of Ireland.
No Dramas is a lighter-toned follow-up to Tragedy Plus Time, which Byrne described as taxing to perform: he said he spent eighteen months picking at the scab of the worst moment of your life five nights a week. This one is partly death- and trauma-free, and partly about his thwarted attempts to live a life free of hassle, whining about the little things that seem to gang up and ruin your day. It's still not fully formed, with work-in-progress shows staged at the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2026, so the version that reaches Oxford will have had a few months to settle.
The critics have been kind so far. Rolling Stone UK and Chortle both gave it five stars, while the Evening Standard and Entertainment Now called it 'fantastically funny' and 'masterful'.
