Cabaret and burlesque show by the Australian feminist collective Polytoxic, with circus, aerials, performance art and vocals.
Polytoxic are bringing their cabaret Dangerous Goods to The Theatre, Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities on Woodstock Road, with a run that opens on 15 June and continues through to 20 June. It's a cabaret and burlesque show from the Australian feminist collective, and they've described it as unapologetic and provocative, pulling together circus, aerials, performance art and vocals.
The show is part of the centre's second season, which runs from January to July 2027 and covers music, dance, theatre, visual art, film and literature. A good deal of the season is specially commissioned and developed alongside Oxford University researchers, and the programme names the centre's Cultural Fellows among its contributors. The whole thing is built to bring together academics, artists and audiences, so Dangerous Goods sits within a wider stretch of work that spans several disciplines.
