Free drop-in session for creative people to meet and work with art, textiles, crafting and writing.
Creative Club is back at Headington Library on Thursday 22nd October, from 5.00 to 6.00pm. It's a relaxed, free drop-in session for creative people to meet and work with their art, textiles, crafting and writing.
That's the whole of it, really. There's no set programme to follow and no specific project you're expected to be working on. You just bring whatever you're currently into — whether that's a half-finished painting, a bit of embroidery, a notebook full of sketches, or a poem you're still tinkering with — and spend the hour working on it in the company of other people doing the same. It's as much about the company as it is about the making.
The beauty of a drop-in like this is that it doesn't demand anything of you. You don't have to be at a particular stage with your work, and you don't have to show it to anyone if you don't want to. It's just a dedicated hour in the week to get stuck into something you enjoy, rather than squeezing it in around everything else. And because it's a shared space, you'll find other people around the table working on their own things, so it's a good spot to be if you usually create in isolation.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Oxford and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
